Supreme Court blocked Trump’s administration from ending DACA. In a 5 to 4 vote, the court crushed the Trump administration on the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program.

Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr., joined forces with the four liberals magistrates Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Stephen Breyer, Elena Kagan, and Sonia Sotomayor on today’s decision. The court alleging that Trump’s administration did not follow the Administrative Procedure Act adopted in 1946 that requires federal agencies to develop a well rulemaking process and regulations of issues.

“We address only whether the agency complied with the procedural requirement that it provide a reasoned explanation for its action. Here the agency failed to consider the conspicuous issues of whether to retain forbearance and what, if anything, to do about the hardship to DACA recipients. That dual failure raises doubts about whether the agency appreciated the scope of its discretion or exercised that discretion in a reasonable manner,” Roberts said. In his decision, Justice Roberts called the Trump administration taking an “arbitrary and capricious” step to end DACA.

The Obama-era Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals was launched in June 2012. The program shields those who came before reaching 16 but does not exceed 31 as of June 15, 2012. Almost 800,000 undocumented young immigrants have benefited from the program since then. But few months after President Trump took power, the Department of Justice led by former Attorney General Jeff Sessions rescinded the program. Blaming Obama’s administration for overwriting the constitution to protect “illegal aliens” who violated the law.

Governor of Nevada Steve Sisolak remarked how important dreamers are to the Silver State.

In Nevada, there are more than 14,000 DACA recipients who were very anxious waiting for the Supreme Court decision. But Trump and his entire vendetta continue in a daily routine and already threatened to re-appeal the court’s decision. However, we just learned from Telemundo’s journalist José Díaz-Balart that the president is planning to grant citizenship to these immigrants. Political experts believe that the president’s move towards DACA is just a hook to win the Hispanics vote in November.

The president believes undocumented immigrants are a threat to American communities. The Commander in Chief has repeatable demonized immigrants as terrorists, animals, bad “hombre” and so on. Nonetheless, a recent report from the Federal Bureau of Investigation shows that U.S. born citizens are more likely to commit crimes in comparison to Hispanics.

Activists, pro-immigrant organizations, and legal advisers work tirelessly to put an end to Trump’s immigration crackdown. According to the Spanish news network Univision Noticias, there are more than 38 million registered Hispanics ready to vote. These fellows being the top minority group holding a pen or pencil ready to take action this coming November.

But on Friday, U.S. District Judge Nicholas Garaufis of New York ordered the Trump administration to begin accepting new applicants for the program. He also instructed the Department of Homeland Security to publish a statement to alert the public of the new changes.
