In light of the escalation to defend the border from the unauthorized crossing of immigrants from Central and South America, Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders joined 13 other Republican governors to support Texas Governor Greg Abbott in protecting the border.

In the press conference, Gov. Sanders claimed the fight in which everyone should participate to send a clear message to President Biden’s failures in his responsibilities as the country’s leader.

“Put very simply, Joe Biden has completely failed in one of his most basic and important duties as president,” Gov. Sanders said. “He has failed to protect our borders and our people. Not only did he fail at his job, but he’s been dishonest about it.”

The Natural State leader believed Joe Biden was trying to pass out an idea that somehow he is unwilling to do anything to fix the border issue, and Congress has to step out when every single person knows he can make changes to secure our border and protect our country, but he simply refuses to do so.

According to Sanders, the failure of the White House tenant has forced Governor Abbott to move forward with the support of other leaders across the country to find a solution to the southern border crisis.

Meanwhile, President Biden reacted to the accusations in Eagle Pass and said that the immigration system has been weak for many years and does not necessarily have to fall on his back. Instead, everyone should know about this phenomenon that has been there in all administrations regardless of the political party in charge.

“For too long, going back decades, the immigration system has been broken,” President Biden said in a statement. “It’s time to fix it. That’s why, over two months ago, I instructed members of my administration to work with a bipartisan group of Senators to finally and seriously address the issue.”

In his actions, the president wants to work with the Senate to come up with an agreement that will include a series of measures to better treat immigrants, and have a more robust asylum system, but also added the possibility of closing the border if necessary.

“It will make our country safer, make our border more secure, and treat people fairly and humanely while preserving legal immigration, consistent with our values as a nation,” the statement said. “It would give me, as President, a new emergency authority to shut down the border when it becomes overwhelmed. It will make our asylum process fairer and more efficient while protecting the most vulnerable.”

The Commander in Chief added the intention to implement financial support to provide legal representation to the unaccompanied young children and extend the resources that he repeatedly requested to Congress to secure the border by adding border patrol agents, immigration judges, asylum officers, and cutting-edge inspection machines to help detect and stop the flow of fentanyl.

Despite the president’s statements, Governor Abbott slammed the US president after Sunday’s conference, saying that Biden was letting in unauthorized immigration like never before.

“President Biden has abandoned his constitutional duty to protect Americans by refusing to secure our southern border,” said Governor Abbott. “During his presidency, Joe Biden has smashed records for illegal immigration and allowed chaos to be unleashed along our southern border.”

Abbott argued that President Biden, Instead of upholding immigration laws already on the books, sent his lawyers into federal courts to sue the State of Texas for doing the job he should have been doing since the beginning of his term.

The White House assured that the lawsuit filed by the federal government against Texas is to remind the Lone Star State that it cannot carry out the work belonging to the federal agencies and that it must remove all members of the National Guard from the border.

Nonetheless, Governor Sanders said she was proud of knowing the situation had strong leaders who would make the country safer and protect people. “And we don’t support them in football, but I can tell you that Arkansas supports the state of Texas when it comes to protecting our border.”

Last year, Sanders sent National Guard troops to the Texas border with Mexico and pledged to do so again if necessary.
